Daily Itinerary

Day 1 December 10 - Oslo

· Arrive in Oslo. · Take an Oslo sightseeing tour by bus and explore some of the city’s sights, such as the Royal Palace, the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Oslo City Hall, and the Akershus Fortress. · After checking into your hotel enjoy some traditional Norwegian cuisine at one of the many restaurants in the city center, where you will be accompanied for dinner by the local guide.

Day 2 December 11 Oslo – Bergen

· Enjoy the scenic Oslofjord on a 2-hour sightseeing fjord cruise. · Take a scenic train ride from Oslo to Bergen, passing through mountains, valleys, and fjords along the way. · Arrive in Bergen and check into your hotel.

Day 3 December 12 - Bergen – Tromsø

· Visit some of the city’s attractions, such as the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, the Fløibanen Funicular, the Fish Market, and the Bergenhus Fortress. · Take a short flight from Bergen to Tromsø, a city in northern Norway that is known as the gateway to the Arctic. https://www.visitnorway.com/typically-norwegian/christmas/the-christmas-town-tromso/ · Check into your hotel and get ready for an evening of northern lights hunting. · Join a guided tour that will take you to a remote location where you can hopefully watch the aurora borealis dance across the sky (weather and solar activity permitting).

Day 4 December 13 (Santa Lucia Day) Tromsø

· After enjoying some freshly baked Lussekatter during your Nordic breakfast, spend the day exploring Tromsø and its surroundings on a sightseeing bus tour accompanied by a local guide. Try dogs or reindeer sleigh ride. · Visit some of the city’s cultural attractions, such as the Arctic Cathedral, the Polar Museum, the Tromsø Museum, or the Polaria Aquarium. · In the evening, attend a Santa Lucia service at the Arctic Cathedral, where you can enjoy the festive atmosphere and the beautiful acoustics of the church.

Day 5 December 14 - Tromsø - Sweden’s Ice Hotel

· Take a bus from Tromsø to Jukkasjärvi, crossing the border from Norway to Finland, via Sweden. · Stop in Jukkasjärvi to visit Sweden’s famous Ice Hotel.

Day 6 December 15 - Sweden’s Ice Hotel – Rovaniemi

· Continue onto Rovaniemi and upon arrival, visit Santa Claus Village, where you can meet Santa Claus and his reindeer, cross the Arctic Circle, send postcards from the Santa Claus Post Office, and enjoy various winter activities such as snowmobiling, ice skating, or tobogganing. · Check into your hotel or glass igloo accommodation (upgrade required). Perhaps there will be a chance to see the aurora borealis from your warm bed? · Finish the evening in a Nordic Sauna.

Day 7 December 16 - Rovaniem

· Spend another day in Rovaniemi and join an excursion by bus to one of the nearby national parks, such as Pyhä-Luosto or Riisitunturi, where you can admire the stunning scenery of snow-covered forests, frozen lakes, and fells. Try dogs or reindeer sleigh ride. · In the evening, you can watch the northern lights from your glass igloo or join a guided tour that will take you to a prime viewing spot (weather and solar activity permitting).

Day 8 December 17 - Rovaniemi – Oslo

· Take a flight from Rovaniemi to Oslo, connecting in Helsinki. · Arrive in Oslo and check into your hotel ahead of the extension or continue your journey home.

Day 9 December 18 - Return to the USA or Continue with our Extension

December  18 - Oslo – Stockholm
· Take a train from Oslo to Stockholm, passing through scenic landscapes and crossing the border from Norway to Sweden. The journey takes about 7 hours.
· Arrive in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden and a city of islands and bridges. Check into your hotel and explore some of the city’s attractions, such as the Gamla Stan (Old Town), the Royal Palace, the City Hall, and the Vasa Museum.

December 19 - Stockholm
· Spend the day in Stockholm and enjoy its culture, history, and nature. You can choose from various activities, such as visiting the Skansen open-air museum, taking a boat tour of the archipelago, shopping at Drottninggatan street, or relaxing at one of the many parks and gardens.

December  20 - Stockholm – Copenhagen
· Take a flight from Stockholm to Copenhagen, connecting in Gothenburg or Malmö. The flight takes about an hour.
· Arrive in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark and a city of fairy tales and design. Check into your hotel and visit some of the city’s sights, such as the Tivoli Gardens, the Nyhavn Canal, the Little Mermaid statue, and the Amalienborg Palace.

December 21- Copenhagen
· Spend the day in Copenhagen and enjoy its charm, culture, and cuisine. You can choose from various activities, such as visiting the Christiansborg Palace, taking a bike tour of the city, exploring the Freetown Christiania neighborhood, or tasting some Danish delicacies at the Torvehallerne market.

December 22 - Copenhagen - Oslo
· Take a ferry from Copenhagen to Oslo, crossing the Kattegat Sea and enjoying the views of the coastlines. The ferry takes about 17 hours and includes overnight accommodations in a private cabin. Enjoy the onboard facilities such as restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment.
· Arrive in Oslo and check into your hotel or continue your journey home.
