Day 1 May 28 - Fly to Madrid

Fly to Madrid

Day 2 May 29 - Arrive in Madrid

Arrive in Madrid & visit the famous Prado Museum that contains the most impressive collection of classical paintings in the entire world. We will also visit the Royal Palace of the Bourbons which has over 2,000 rooms, including outstanding rooms such as the Room of the Throne. Visit the Palace of Liria and see the original Alba Bible that was translated in 1422. The rest of the day is at leisure as we enjoy the pulsating atmosphere of this impressive city, strolling as we do through the ever-charming streets of Madrid. (D)

Day 3 May 30 – On Own in Madrid

Enjoy the day in Madrid and explore on your own. Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B, D)

Day 4 May 31 - Travel to Sarria

Bid farewell to Madrid and travel to Sarria to check in to your hotel for dinner and rest before you begin your walk tomorrow. (B, D)

Day 5 June 1 - Begin Camino - Sarria to Portomarin (21.5 km)

Begin your pilgrimage on foot at Sarria after breakfast, and then return to your hotel after your day of walking for dinner. (B, D)

Day 6 June 2 - Portomarin to Palas de Rei (22 km)

Continue your walking journey after breakfast from Portomarin to Palas de Rei, and then return to your hotel after your day of walking for dinner. (B, D)

Day 7 June 3 - Palas de Rei to Arzua (25.5 km)

Continue your walking journey after breakfast from Palas de Rei to Arzua, and then return to your hotel after your day of walking for dinner. (B, D)

Day 8 June 4 - Arzua to O Perdrouzo (19 km)

Continue your walking journey after breakfast from Arzua to O Pedrouzo, and then return to your hotel after your day of walking for dinner. (B, D)

Day 9 June 5 - O Pedrouzo to Santiago (20 km)

Return to O Pedrouzo to continue on the Camino to Santiago cathedral to complete your Camino journey. Return to your hotel for overnight. Enjoy dinner out this evening, and perhaps celebrate your completion attending the Pilgrim's Mass at the cathedral, that includes the Botafumeiro ceremony. (B, D)

Day 10 June 6 – Santiago de Compostela

Enjoy time in Santiago de Compostela to explore on your own. Enjoy dinner together this evening. (B, D)

Day 11 June 7 - Port of Muros, Ezaro Waterfall, Finisterre

Today you'll journey by bus to the port of Muros, and then walk to the Ezaro Waterfall. Enjoy lunch in Finisterre, before walking out to the lighthouse at "the end of the world". Finish your day on the "Coast of Death" at the Virxe da Barca Sanctuary, that has survived a 2013 lightning strike and subsequent flooding from the Atlantic. Chek in to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Day 12 June 8 – Morning on Own – Return to Madrid

Enjoy free time this morning before attending Eucharist. Travel back to Madrid afterwards. (B, D)
